Player Profile: Shannon Jackson
Women’s Basketball
Shannon Jackson was born into a military family in Charleston, South Carolina. Jackson was raised in many places before spending her first 3 years of high school in Yokosuka, Japan. While in Japan, Jackson earned MVP honors for 2 years playing basketball. Her senior year of high school was spent in Bremerton, Washington where she played basketball, volleyball, and participated in track and field. Jackson earned an all-star team spot for basketball. After graduating in 2011, Jackson accepted an athletic scholarship here at UCC and has played basketball for the last two seasons. Jackson is majoring in Criminal Justice with her focus being on juvenile corrections.
Jackson has officially signed with Montreat College in Asheville, North Carolina with an athletic scholarship where she plans to continue studies in criminal justice and would like to become a lawyer.
