“Bus Stop” scheduled to arrive in November


UCC’s Director of Theater Studies Stephanie Newman directs her first play “Bus Stop” beginning Nov. 8.

Theatre Arts students and community members have been preparing since the beginning of fall term to bring this production to Centerstage Theatre in the Whipple Fine Arts building.

Performances of Bus Stop will take place 7 p.m. on November 8, 9, 15 and 16 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 10, 16 and 17.

Tickets are $12 for general admission, $8 for students and senior discounts are available.

Bus Stop will star the following cast members: Mary Burleson, Stiles Gunn, Carl Jones, Kaitlin Knox, Amanda Mcnulty, Beau Moser, James Pennington and Levi Wagoner.

Bus Stop takes place in a rural Kansas diner where bus passengers take refuge during a freak snowstorm.          The play was written in 1955 by William Inge.
