Graduation

Graduation: Have you Filed Yet?

Students who are due to graduate this year need to make sure to file for graduation by March 1 to prevent any problems along the way.

Degrees and certificates are actually awarded at the conclusion of each term. Students can choose to wait for their degree to come in the mail or walk in the commencement ceremony.

The commencement ceremony to honor degrees and one or more year certificates is held in June.

Either way, a graduation evaluation must be requested to ensure that all requirements are completed before graduating. For June graduates, the evaluation should be requested by March 1 2012. A fee of
$30 must be turned in with the paperwork. Applications are available on the wall directly across from registration in the campus center.

To receive any degree from UCC, a student must maintain a 2.00 cumulative grade point average, attend UCC for two terms including the last, and complete a minimum of 24 credit hours at UCC.

After applying for graduation students will receive a graduation packet if they choose to participate in the commencement ceremony. This packet has details about the ceremony and is mailed to students who apply by March 1st and available for pick-up in the Admissions Office after that date.
