The annually juried student art exhibition will be held Thursday, May 5 through Thursday, June 2 2016.

The art show is open to all students who have taken the following courses: Basic Design 1, 2 and 3, Photography, Painting and Watercolor, Drawing and Ceramics.

This show may be the last to showcase a graphic designer before the Visual Communication program closes.

The opening reception of the juried art exhibit will take place May 5 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. in the Whipple Fine Arts Center building.

The juror Clara Lanyi, a recent transplant to Douglas County, has extensive knowledge in ceramics and sculpture.  She has a BA in Liberal Arts focusing on sculpture and printmaking from UCSC, a BFA in Ceramics from Alfred University and a MFA in Ceramics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Whipple Fine Arts Center is free and open to the public, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during events at Centerstage Theater.
