ASUCC Activities Officer
Sarah Meyer was appointed the new Activities Officer for student government. Meyer is an International Relations major who served previously as an ASUCC senator. As Activities Officer, she is currently planning Spring Fever.
Auto Program Commendations
The Automotive Program recently received commendation for their Toyota 10 program and their automotive technician training.
Coffee Cart
The coffee cart in the campus bookstore is now repaired. Students, staff and the public can order many types of espresso drinks again. The Bookstore is also holding a raffle for a Kindle. Tickets cost $1 each. The drawing has been extended through June 3, 2013. The bookstore is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Computer Literacy Placement Testing
The CIS faculty is working on developing a new 100 level computer literacy course and digital literacy placement exam that will be used to help meet UCC’s computer literacy goals. Both the course and the placement exam will be ready for use on a pilot basis in the fall.
River Rush Bistro
River Rush Bistro is now open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Bistro is now featuring a new item, the “Moore” burger. This 8 oz Wagyu beef patty topped with grilled jalapenos, onions and pepper jack cheese comes with chipotle aioli and Yukon Gold fries. For more menu items, see the Bistro in the Campus Center.
